Welcome to island life—where the pace is a little slower, the skies are a little brighter, and the views are unbeatable. To help you enjoy your stay to the fullest, here are a few things to keep in mind: • Water Usage: Like many homes on the island, we use a cistern system (collected rainwater), so we kindly ask that you be mindful of water usage—quick showers, full loads of laundry only, and turning off taps when not in use are always appreciated. • Trash Disposal: Curbside pickup isn’t available on the island. Guests are responsible for dropping off trash at the nearest VIWMA community bin, located just a short drive from the home. Don’t worry—we’ll provide directions in your welcome guide! • Island Wi-Fi: While we do have high-speed internet, occasional interruptions can happen. It’s all part of the unplug-and-unwind charm of island life. • Wildlife + Nature: You may see (and hear!) friendly island critters like lizards, tree frogs, and chickens. They’re harmless and part of the tropical experience! • Driving Notes: On St. Thomas, we drive on the left side of the road. We strongly recommend renting a car during your stay for ease and flexibility getting around the island. • Power Outages: Short power outages can happen from time to time. The home is equipped with backup essentials to keep you comfortable, and outages usually resolve quickly.
